The University of Montevallo (UM) believe it’s important to offer an easy, affordable way to protect the investment your family has made in higher education. That’s why UM has partnered with GradGuard™ to provide our families with tuition insurance featuring special plans and rates not available to the general public. Plans also include Student Life Assistance: a 24-hour emergency hotline that offers students and parents even greater peace of mind.
The protection insurance plans are available during fall and spring terms only. They must be purchased by the last day of drop/add period. These plans can reimburse your non-refundable tuition after an unexpected withdrawal for a covered illness, injury, mental health condition and more. Complete withdrawal from all classes required and must be validated; documentation for all claimed expenses required; withdrawal for psychological/mental disorder requires 2 consecutive days of hospitalization; physician recommendation to withdraw from institution is required and will be validated for withdrawal due to illness/injury or psychological/mental disorder.
